Kerry MilanKerry Milan has three spiritual homes, Glasgow where here was brought up, educated and married, Doncaster where he was born, and Stafford where he has lived the majority of his life.
   
He studied violin at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama with Louis Carus (and Margaret Evans for piano), then in Brussels with Maurice Raskin, and later privately with David Martin.  He is a Fellow of Trinity College London, and an Associate of London University Institute of Education.
  
As a performer, concert and broadcast performances range from Bach to Brahms to Berg, and he has been leader of the Janus Ensemble, Shrewsbury Orchestral Society, Cantemus Chamber Orchestra, and Staffordshire Symphony Orchestra.
  
He has written numerous articles, for the Strad magazine, Music Teacher, Times Educational Supplement etc, and was for ten years string reviewer for the British Journal of Music Education.  He has also edited Staffordshire County Council's ArtsMADD! magazine of the arts, as well as its music journal Ad Lib.
   
Before taking retirement in 1993, he had been in charge of Stafford Music Centre, and also the County's s
chool for talented young musicians (CSPTYM).

He now devotes his time to composing.  Outside music his loves are his family, things Scottish, the AZED crossword, computers and French.
